Husk the Homunculus was designed before the Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss craze brought demon-type characters to the forefront. He was imagined as a product developed by a demon, a custom-made creation that would be shipped to other demons to sate their desires to corrupt. As a blank slate, he could be "raised" by demons to become whatever they desired.
